In order to help all sellers develop their business faster and better after the Spring Festival and seize this wave of post-holiday traffic, Xiaobian also sorts out super practical tips for resuming work for everyone!Decisively pick it up and get ready for the battle ahead of time!
Step 1: Keep account status in mind; meeting performance standards is the most important
01 Check account conditions to ensure that performance standards are met
As various marketing holidays approach, if a product is removed from the shelves or even an account is blocked due to performance issues, then the long-awaited hit list is likely to fall out of touch with you.
So, first thing to do, all sellers must check the account status page on Seller Central in a timely manner! Even if you are convinced that your normal operations are in full compliance, you need to conduct a thorough check: check whether the account has risk issues; whether complaints have been made; whether the product has been removed... When performance is not up to standard, the account status page will display a warning symbol, so sellers must review the reason and implement an improvement plan.
02 Turn off “vacation mode” and reply to comments in a timely manner
Self-delivery sellers may have enabled vacation settings during the Spring Festival. After resuming work, remember to reactivate product status, pay more attention to whether their stores have received customer complaints, pay attention to buyers' comments, and respond and process them in a timely manner.
🚩 Tip: How do I adjust the condition of the product?
Log in to Seller Central, go to the “Settings > Account Information” page, click “Vacation Settings” in the “Product Status” column on the left side of the page, go to the following page, select “Active”, and then click “Save”.
Step 2: Seize inventory and logistics with both hands, and successfully burst orders without being caught blindly
01 Replenish product inventory in a timely manner to avoid being out of stock
In response to your current inventory situation, make a restocking plan for products with low inventory as soon as possible to avoid losing orders due to out of stock. At the same time, depending on the promotion you want to participate in, increase the amount of inventory as appropriate. To find a logistics provider to replenish products with insufficient FBA inventory as soon as possible, please refer to Amazon's cross-border logistics service or third-party service provider network.

02 Good inventory management and strive to improve IPI score
The plan for the year is spring. Sellers may have begun intensive preparations for the new plan. In order to reserve sufficient storage space for your new products, it is recommended that you clean out of season products as soon as possible. The Amazon Logistics Inventory Performance Index Score (IPI) has also begun the assessment of storage capacity for the second quarter of 2021. The assessment period is the week of February 15 and the week of March 22, respectively. The IPI score is still 450 points. If your IPI score is above or equal to 450 points at any time during the assessment period, you can get unlimited storage space in the second quarter, namely:
▲ If your score for the week of February 15 is higher or equal to 450 points, then you can get unlimited storage space from April 1;
▲ If your score for the week of February 15 is lower than 450 points, but your IPI score for the week of March 22 is higher or equal to 450 points, then you can also get unlimited storage space from April 1;
▲ If your IPI score for the week of February 15 and the week of March 22 is below 450, then you will be limited by storage space starting April 1.
Sellers should hurry up and improve their IPI score to avoid high storage overage fees due to storage space restrictions, affecting your new plans, or causing overstorage.
🚩 Tips:
▲Amazon US FBA sellers can also use the “Amazon Logistics Bulk Clearance Program” to handle products such as excess inventory, out-of-season products, and unsellable returns and exchanges. Through this new program, sellers can recover part of the cost of inventory items from removing or disposing of excess inventory and customer returns, thereby helping to reduce your overall expenses. Currently open to invited sellers only, you can open the 👉 link to the Seller Central help page for more details ▲If you need a new seller, you can refer to the “Amazon Logistics New Selection Plan” and use FBA to sell new products and enjoy many benefits such as free monthly storage, free removal, and free return processing. More importantly, no more worrying about not being able to ship during the next holiday. For more details, click 👉 Amazon Logistics New Product Selection Program.
03 Pay attention to changes in logistics timeliness and adjust transportation time in a timely manner
Self-shipping sellers may have extended lead times and transit times during the Lunar New Year holidays. As logistics carriers and factories resume work one after another, it is recommended that you update your preparation time (that is, handling time) and transit time (Transit Time) in Seller Central in a timely manner according to the latest current transit situation.
🚩 Important changes for self-shipping sellers:
US self-delivery sellers must provide the name of the carrier
Amazon US self-delivery sellers note that the shipping confirmation process for self-shipping orders is about to change! To improve the consumer delivery experience for self-shipping orders, Amazon wants to ensure that buyers can view order tracking information as detailed as possible, which not only reduces the number of customer contacts, the number of order defects, and the cost of loss, but also helps improve seller feedback ratings. Self-shipping sellers must provide the name of the carrier when confirming shipment through the “Manage Orders” page in Seller Central. As of April 5, 2021, you must provide the carrier name (or carrier-code field) when confirming shipments through bulk data uploads, APIs, or integrators. Starting May 3, 2021, Amazon will verify the tracking details (including the carrier name and tracking number) for all seller-fulfilled orders and display a warning for invalid tracking details. For more details, please open the 👉 link to refer to Seller Central Information
▲ The effective tracking rate of self-delivery sellers in Japan is less than 95%, and sales privileges may be suspended
Amazon Japan self-delivery sellers should pay special attention to meeting valid tracking rate (VTR) performance standards! In order to further improve the consumer's shopping experience, from April 1, 2021, Amazon Japan will use VTR as the required indicator for sales on Amazon. If the VTR falls below 95%, Amazon may suspend sellers' self-delivery sales rights in this category. For more details, please open the 👉 link to refer to Seller Central Information
European self-delivery sellers must provide the name of the carrier and delivery service information
Amazon Europe self-delivery sellers are advised to provide the name of the carrier and delivery service information during the shipping confirmation process for self-delivery orders. As of March 1, 2021, whether you confirm a self-shipping order through Seller Central or API, you will need to return the correct carrier/carrier service/logistics order number information, otherwise you will not be able to complete the order's shipment confirmation. You can see the carriers that Amazon currently supports to provide tracking information in the drop-down box on the “Confirm Shipment” page. Delayed shipping confirmation for completed orders may result in a high late shipment rate, which may result in account suspension. Additionally, if you have not shipped and confirmed shipment 7 days after the expected ship date, Amazon will automatically cancel the order and record your order cancellation rate.
Step 3: Use promotional tools to cultivate ASINs, attract traffic, and prepare for peak season!
01 Optimize the listing page and lay a good foundation
A complete listing can drive more traffic and conversions. Product images, categories (product type), and product names up to 80 characters (parent product name) — this complete product information can help buyers discover, evaluate, and make purchasing decisions. In addition to ensuring that the content is complete, seller friends need to ensure correct variations, compliance with the main image, brand name, etc.
02 Master promotion tools to accelerate sales conversion
The resumption of work is imminent. The arrival of various peak marketing seasons also means the beginning of a traffic duel between sellers! If you want to be good at work, you must first use your tools. If you want to stand out from the war and achieve a sharp increase in sales, promotional tools allow you to do more with less! The European Spring Report is also underway.
*Note: The above table is for general eligibility requirements only, and the different promotion mechanisms are different. Please refer to the Amazon announcement for the current year.
Seller friends should set up deal reports and promotions in advance!
Step 4: Apply for a trademark and register the brand as soon as possible to protect the brand and support the sales sprint during the peak season!
01 New seller, it's too late to not do brand registration!
If you are a novice seller, applying for a trademark and registering a brand can speed up the beginning of sales! After Amazon Brand Registry, sellers can use three major tools to help and protect sales: brand building, brand analysis, and brand protection tools.
Now Amazon Brand Registry has accepted pending trademark registration. This means that trademarks that have yet to be processed can enjoy brand promotion and brand analysis. At the same time, copyright infringement and patent infringement can also be reported for brand protection. Sales start early, and brands are protected early!
Currently, the Amazon Brand Registry accepts pending trademarks issued by the following national trademark offices and the European Union Trademark Office: the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, India, Singapore, Australia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Sweden and the European Union.
02 If you have a brand, remember to protect sales when sprinting to sales!
If you have already registered your brand, then while sprinting for sales, don't forget to target the products you want to promote, protect your sales, and avoid fakes! The Transparency Transparency Program is a new service offered by Amazon to brands and consumers. By applying transparency codes to products, we can prevent brands from being victimized by fakes in advance and protect brands and sales more proactively.
Whether the product is shipped through Amazon Logistics or the seller itself, Amazon will actively verify the authenticity of each product through transparency barcodes. Only products with the correct barcode can be sold, thereby preventing consumers from buying counterfeit products and helping you prevent the sale of counterfeit products at the source.
🚩 The Transparency Transparency Program mainly helps sellers with the following 4 points:
Reduce operational pressure: Active anti-counterfeiting protection in advance to avoid hasty reporting after the fact.
Avoid fake product reviews: Reduce the negative impact of fake products on reviews.
Easily check the authenticity of the product: Buyers can scan the code to check the authenticity of the product, and the original product can be traced back to the source.
Expose more brand information: Scan the code to provide accurate product information down to a single item to deepen the brand impression.
If you are a brand operating on Amazon's top ten sites in the US, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Spain, UK, Japan, and Australia, you can apply to join the Transparency transparency program to protect your brand and sales volume as soon as possible.
