More convenient!The automatic removal feature automatically helps you process your inventory in order of value recovery from largest to smallest, without manual intervention by the seller; sellers can opt out of automatic removal at any time in Seller Central after that if they do not want to continue using the automatic removal feature.

Starting April 15, 2022, Amazon will automatically remove overage inventory and unused inventory on a monthly basis, and sellers can also opt out of automatic removal (if you want to update your automatic removal settings, please update at least 24 hours before April 15 to ensure that the system saves your changes).

▲ Overage inventory: Inventory that has been stored in the operation center for more than 365 days and is subject to long-term storage fees.
▲ Inactive inventory: ASINs that have not been sold for six months or more in a row and have been stored in Amazon fulfillment centers for more than 180 days.

In addition to the automatic removal of overage and unused inventory, Amazon has also optimized the options in “Automatic settings for unsellable products” to provide sellers with more services to recover the value of inventory:

▲ Amazon US site: Two services, “Refurbishment” and “Batch Clearance”, have been launched;
▲ Amazon Europe: Three services have been launched: “Refurbishment”, “Rating and Resale”, and “Bulk Clearance”;
▲ Amazon Japan: Currently, only the “Repackage” service is available.

Therefore, seller friends should check and complete the appropriate settings themselves as soon as possible. Please go to the Automatically remove sellable inventory setting, where you can do the following:

▲Select Refund and enter a valid return address so we can return the inventory to you. If a valid return address is not provided, your inventory will be automatically donated, recycled, or disposed of;
▲Select Clearance to recover value from your eligible products;
▲If you select Disable, you can opt out of automatic removal at any time. Please operate 24 hours prior to the monthly inventory cleanup date.

Eligible inventory will have a removal order created one to two weeks after the inventory cleanup date using the following process:
■ If the seller has a return address on the “Automatic settings for sellable inventory” page and chooses to return the item, the inventory will be returned to the address provided by the seller by default;
■ If there is no return address, the seller's inventory will be automatically cleaned through Amazon's FBA Liquidations Program (FBA Liquidations) to recover value;
■ If the conditions for automatic batch clearance are not met, the seller's inventory will be donated, recycled, or disposed of.

① In the menu bar [Settings], select [Amazon Logistics], scroll down to the [Automatic settings for sellable inventory] page, and then click [Edit].

💡 If you wish to regularly clean up your overage and unused inventory through “Auto Remove” and return it to the designated address: You will need to provide your return address on this page, then click “Update” to complete the setup.

💡 If you don't have a return address, you can clean up your overage and unused inventory through the “Auto Remove” “Bulk Inventory” method: you need to select “Inventory” on this page, then click “Update” to complete the settings.

① Go to the “Automatic settings page for unsellable products”;
■Click the 👉 link to open and go to the settings page;
■On the “Settings” menu, click “Amazon Logistics” > “Amazon Logistics Settings” page, find “Automatic Removal Settings for Unsellable Products” > click “Edit” to enter the settings page;

■On the “Inventory” tab, click “Manage Amazon Inventory” > click “Remove Unsellable Inventory” > click “Automatically Remove Settings” to enter the settings page.

② Enable “Automatic settings for unsellable products” and select “Refurbish” or “Bulk Clearance”;
On the “Automatic Removal Settings for Unsellable Items” page, click “Enable”; in the Registered Value Recovery Options section, select the “Refurbish” or “Bulk Clearance” option.

③ Make settings related to [Refurbishment] or [Bulk Clearance].
■If you choose Refurbish, you need to make further choices:
✔️ All or part of the categories you need to automatically refurbish and meet the conditions for refurbishment;
✔️ If the number of categories eligible for refurbishment increases in the future, the new categories will be automatically added or an email will be sent to you, and you can decide the next step.

🚩 Please note: Since the “Refurbish” settings are only for individual Amazon marketplaces, sellers need to update the “Refurbish” settings for Amazon's US and European sites separately!

■If selecting “Bulk Clearance”, the seller will need to further fill in the ASIN of the product you intend to make another arrangement not to use bulk clearance.

Sellers can check which products are eligible for automatic removal of sellable inventory in Manage Inventory Status. To track which of your products have been removed, go to Manage Orders.

Inventory that does not meet the bulk clearance requirements will be recycled, donated, or disposed of unless the seller provides a return address.

Due to the high volume of requests Amazon has received during this time, it may take up to 90 days to return your inventory. Please ensure that returns are accepted when delivered to your address.
