Amazon is committed to helping sellers better manage account health
July 7, 2023
Amazon has released a new and upgraded “Account Health Rating (Account Health Rating)” tool — effectively improving sellers' visibility and risk insight into the health status of their own accounts.
Currently, Amazon has nearly 2 million sellers on its global site. Many customers buy products on the Amazon Marketplace from third-party sellers, and the vast majority of them are small to medium businesses. Every day, Amazon's mission is to provide customers around the world with a wider range of products and better prices. Achieving this mission also requires the success of third-party sellers and how Amazon can help seller partners to provide customers with a trustworthy shopping environment. Based on this, Amazon is launching the newest tool for sellers — the fully upgraded “Account Health Rating (Account Health Rating)” feature.
Amazon continues to invest in providing sellers with more powerful tools, services, and support, hoping to help sellers grow and succeed in the Amazon Marketplace. We're constantly listening to feedback from sellers and hope to innovate more for them to improve the seller experience on the Amazon Marketplace. This includes helping sellers better understand and comply with Amazon Marketplace policies to create a good shopping experience for customers. In recent years, Amazon has continued to invest in, improve, and help sellers in many areas. We hope to make communication more clear, responses more timely, and tips on seller irregularities more clear.
This innovative feature — the fully upgraded Account Health Rating (Account Health Rating) — helps sellers better comply with Amazon policies and protect account health. “Account Status Rating” will be launched first on Amazon's US and Canada sites in August, and will be promoted on global sites in 2023. The newly upgraded “Account Health Rating” helps sellers fully understand their account status through a simple and easy-to-understand display of seller account values, showing the seller's current account status based on the three statuses of “healthy,” “at risk,” or “unhealthy” defined by the values.

The new “Account Health Rating” is also an improvement based on the core feedback we've received from sellers.
First, the seller stated that they are more interested in understanding the overall status of their account than a series of violations that may result in account suspension. The new account health rating is such a comprehensive tool to show the health status of an account, and it will also be a decisive factor in Amazon's account suspension measures in response to cumulative irregularities.
Second, if there is an obvious violation affecting the seller's account status rating, the seller can clearly see the severity of each violation to ensure that the seller can prioritize resolving the more serious violations.
Third, we also understand that sellers want more help from Amazon to better understand and comply with Amazon Marketplace policies. That's why we're also working to make it easier for sellers to reach Amazon when they need help or have questions. Amazon's Account Status Support team can now help sellers by phone or email.

We look forward to helping sellers better understand the health of their accounts, prioritize potential issues, and ensure the healthy operation of their accounts. In this way, sellers can focus more on product development and business development. “Account Health Rating” is also one of the new features we are working to improve the seller experience, and we look forward to sharing more progress in improving the seller experience in the future.
