Previously, Amazon Logistics launched a new “Send to Amazon” (Send to Amazon or STA) process for creating shipments. The simplified process steps are more simplified, which can save time when creating shipments; can also create reusable templates; and is intuitive, allowing sellers to choose the best option to ship inventory.

In order to improve the service experience for sellers, the “Send to Amazon” function has been updated, and the full update of this set of procedures will also be extended until October 16!

If you use Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA), you need to send inventory to an Amazon fulfillment center. The seller's specific actions include creating a shipment, packing the product, and entrusting it to a carrier of choice for delivery.
Among them, “creating a shipment” is the first step in sending a shipment to an Amazon fulfillment center. When creating a shipment in Seller Central, many sellers want the operation process to be simpler enough. “Send to Amazon” satisfies this requirement!
“Send to Amazon” (Send to Amazon, or STA) is a new process for creating shipments introduced by Amazon Logistics.
Starting October 16, 2022, Send to Amazon will completely replace the previous shipment creation process at all sites around the world.

The new process is simpler, more flexible, and more efficient, making it easy to create shipments and save time. Currently, more and more sellers are starting to use Send to Amazon to create Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) shipments.

“Send to Amazon” has received a lot of attention since its launch, and many seller friends have given us some valuable suggestions. To better enhance the seller experience, Amazon has made the following improvements to this feature:

03

❓ Q1: What will happen to the shipments I created before October 15 in the old process?
Shipments that were successfully created and submitted on or before October 15 in the old process (with a valid shipment ID) will be reserved for further action. You can continue to review or modify these shipments in the old process until November 29th. Starting November 30, the old version of the process interface will be closed.
❓ Q2: Can I pack different SKUs in the same box?
Sellers can select “Single Item” in “Packaging Details” to pack multiple SKUs in one box.
❓ Q3: The packing limit is 150 pcs/box, what if I want to pack more items per box?
Sellers can use the “Add a single item to the workflow” option and go to step 1b: Pack a single item, which allows you to pack more than 150 items per box.
❓ Q4: Can't I change the shipping address separately for the fulfillment centers in different destinations?
For non-Amazon-partnered carrier shipments, since the seller uses their own carrier, the actual shipping address may be different from the one entered when creating the shipping process, and this will not affect the subsequent workflow in any way. Amazon is investigating solutions for shipping using Amazon's partnered carriers.
❓ Q5: Do I have to confirm that my FBA shipment has been shipped before it reaches an Amazon fulfillment center?
If the seller uses a non-Amazon-partnered carrier to ship the shipment, they need to enter a tracking number to confirm that the shipment was successfully created and the shipment status is “Shipped” to facilitate timely and efficient receipt of inventory by Amazon fulfillment centers. If the status is still Ready to Ship, Amazon fulfillment centers will not be able to receive inventory in a timely manner.
❓ Q6: After confirming the shipment, will changing the delivery date have any effect?
No, the “Ship Date” in step 2 is a convenient estimated time. The seller can confirm shipment in step 2 and then provide a final “ship date” in step 4.
