Amazon Europe sellers can now upload images showing product safety information in Seller Central!
July 7, 2023

Buyer safety is paramount to Amazon. To earn the trust of buyers, Amazon requires sellers to ensure that the products sold (including packaging) and offers and subsequent sales of these products comply with all applicable laws so that buyers can find a variety of safe, reliable, and compliant products on the Amazon Marketplace.
💡 Attention European sellers!

Recently, many sellers have successively received emails from Amazon entitled “Now you can upload images showing product safety information on Seller Central” (as shown above), so what exactly do sellers need to do?Don't panic, keep reading, and easily deal with compliance!

In February 2023, Amazon Seller Central added an option for the “Product Safety and Compliance” image variant. When selling products online, you must provide and display product safety labels, warnings, and signs on the product detail page. If we find that the item lacks the required labels, warnings, or markings, we may remove the item. This information should include six images showing all aspects of the packaging and labeling, warnings, and signs (as shown below). This “Product Safety and Compliance” image variation can also be used to upload product brochure images. If the seller is a reseller, they may need to contact the upstream vendor or manufacturer to provide these images.
✔ Images that meet the requirements

❌ Images that don't meet the requirements

Amazon will check the images to meet the requirements, and if any of your images are not compliant, the system will notify you to upload compliant images. Once your images have been processed and verified as compliant, they will be posted on the product detail page. This process can take several days.
For more information on image upload requirements, please click this link, log in to Amazon Seller Central, and refer to the “Image Issues” help page.

Mandatory measures for German tax name/address verification will take effect on March 1
According to the latest German VAT law compliance requirements, the company name and tax address you provide on Amazon Seller Platform must match the data stored by the German Federal Central Tax Office (BzST). As of March 1, 2023, if you do not complete the relevant compliance requirements within the specified time from when you first received the Amazon performance notification, your Amazon Germany site Selling privileges or Amazon Fulfilment Features (FBA ) will be limited.
Amazon recommends that you compare the VAT registration confirmation issued by the German tax authority with the tax information you provided on Amazon Seller Central as soon as possible to ensure that the “company name” and “tax address” information for both are consistent.
