introduction
The big promotions for the new year have quietly arrived. A wave of peak sales season has expired, and experienced sellers have already begun to prepare and ship the goods step by step!Entering a warehouse is an important part of replenishing inventory. In actual operation, sellers and friends may encounter such problems.
Today, Xiaobian will explain to you what a healthy inventory balance is, and present you with the “Storage Problem Self-Check and Diagnostics Tool” specially prepared by Amazon for you!
The number of weeks of sustainable sales (WOC) is calculated based on the three main data points that make inventory replenishment decisions: sales velocity (average weekly sales), on-hand inventory (shippable quantity), and inventory being allocated by Amazon. The calculation is:
Amazon recommends keeping your sales weeks at least between 4-8 weeks, and you also need to check your sustainable sales weeks according to the different stages of sales.
In order to help seller friends quickly find solutions to inbound problems, Amazon specially designed the “Inbound Problem Self-Check Diagnoser” for sellers. User manual: You only need to self-check 2 questions and quickly find the corresponding solutions!
📍 Answer 1-1: Don't know -> Solution 1: Check back office reports to understand your inventory WOC
You can check how many weeks your inventory can last, and more in Seller Central's Inventory Status Report, Manage Amazon Inventory, and Amazon Fulfilled Shipments Report.

📍 Answer 1-2: Know -> Go to Self-Check 2
📍 Answer 2-1: I don't want to make up for it, I think the sales volume of this product is bad/the current inventory is sufficient -> Solution 2: Check the back-office sales forecast to make a better decision
Sustained sales weeks (WOC) will directly affect your ASIN sales performance, and good inventory management directly affects your return on investment. At the same time, healthy inventory levels can help minimize storage fees, increase IPI, and maintain high inventory capacity.
Therefore, Amazon strongly recommends that seller friends make a safer judgment based on your sales plans and sales forecasts, and recommend keeping sales inventory for 4 to 8 weeks so that your customers can receive your products as soon as possible.
📍 Answer 2-2: I want to restock: But I'm running into storage restrictions -> Solution 3: Free up storage capacity or request additional storage capacity
FBA Capacity Limits (FBA Capacity Limits) combine the original restocking limits and storage limits into a single storage quota to help Amazon manage unexpected surges in storage demand to efficiently operate the Amazon delivery network and get your products to customers faster. For more details about the new logistics policy, please check ☞: “Amazon Logistics launches a new storage management policy, effective March 1”
You can release more storage capacity to lift the inbound restrictions in the following two steps:
✈ Step 1: Release storage capacity
The “four-step method” of inventory sales and monetization
✈ Step 2: Request additional storage capacity
If sellers want to increase storage space for purchased products and are confident that this batch of products will be well received by buyers, they can request additional storage space through the Storage Capacity Manager to improve the seller's sales performance during the peak season.
📍 Answer 2-3: I want to restock, but my inventory listing time is unstable -> Solution 4: Pay attention to warehousing considerations
1 Choose a reliable first-haul logistics service provider
Experienced freight forwarders can help you handle warehousing matters more efficiently and transparently. It is recommended to strengthen communication with freight forwarders to ensure that the forwarder handles your goods entering the warehouse more efficiently.
Amazon has recommended an effective first-haul logistics solution for you (see Solution 7 for details)
2 Advance reservation for entering the warehouse
Advance reservations are required for air and sea freight warehousing, so it is recommended that you choose a logistics company that is more familiar with the FBA warehousing process as much as possible. LTL cargo trucks and container trucks enter the warehouse, and it takes longer to wait in line for storage.
Courier delivery methods (such as UPS, DHL Express, FedEx) do not require a warehousing appointment, which can ensure that the seller's goods arrive quickly and in a timely manner, and avoid waiting for a long time and missing out on peak season sales.
Note: Be sure to select “Small parcel delivery (SPD)” and the correct international courier name during the shipment creation process in Seller Central.
3 Enter the warehouse according to the designated warehouse
When you create a shipment, Send to Amazon (Send to Amazon) will provide you with a designated shipping address, so be sure to ship to the warehouse according to this address.
Delivery to other non-designated fulfillment centers may cause significant delays in listing time!In order for the warehouse to receive and get the goods on the shelves quickly, please send the inventory to the warehouse specified when the shipment was created.
4 Pay attention to the promotion deadline
The storage cutoff date is the date on which products are required to be in the warehouse before a specific date for specific promotions.
Generally, only large-scale promotions have entry deadlines, such as Prime Membership Day, Black Five Network 1, etc.; if you learn about such events that have entry deadlines, we recommend that you actively participate and prepare for the explosion of orders!
Amazon fulfillment centers (or FBA warehouses) do not distinguish whether the item is highly promoted active inventory or regular inventory. Therefore, under normal circumstances, the Amazon fulfillment center (or FBA warehouse) will receive your shipment regardless of whether your goods are in stock before the warehousing cutoff date. Products placed in the warehouse after this date can still be stored, but there is no guarantee that they will be able to participate in deals and other events in a timely manner.
📍 Answer 2-4: I want to restock, but I don't know how much to add -> Solution 5: Check out the “Replenish Inventory” tool
We recommend that you immediately go to the Replenish Inventory page to review recommended restock quantities and create a shipping plan.
The Amazon Logistics Replenishment Tool refers to your sales history, demand forecast, and quarterly sales conditions, as well as some data you have entered to help you determine how many to restock and when. It's free to use, tailored, and can be used directly in conjunction with Seller Central's Create Shipment Workflow.

📍 Answer 2-6: I want to restock, but there is a problem with my stocking/logistics timelines -> Solution 7: Manage delivery timelines well
Preparation time and logistics time together form the preparation time before entering the warehouse operation center. Therefore, sellers and friends are requested to grasp the pace of preparation to ensure supply. If the lead time needs to be extended, sellers are advised to choose a shorter first-haul logistics solution, such as air freight.
Amazon recommends the following first-haul logistics solutions:
