Amazon European site FBA warehousing policy update: More products can be added to the warehouse now!
April 23, 2020 | The full text is about 2000 words, and the reading time is about 7 minutes
From now on, Amazon's European site (UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain) will have more products that meet the requirements to create a shipment.
Amazon will continue to prioritize delivery of the products people are in urgent need of today. Although we have now increased the number of products we can ship to fulfillment centers, we will limit the number of items we can restock to ensure that we can prioritize high-demand products, ensure the safety of our employees, and allow more sellers and vendors to enter Amazon's fulfillment centers. Please note that the European site FBA inbound policy update does not apply to Amazon fulfillment centers in France. According to a French court ruling on April 14, 2020, the Amazon fulfillment center in France has now suspended operations.
You can log in to Amazon Seller Central to view the products you can create shipments on the “Replenish Inventory” page and in the “Replenishment Report”. Products that can create shipments but are limited in quantity will be marked “Limited Replenishment.”
Please note that Amazon (including the Seller Support team) is currently unable to provide more information other than the help pages and FAQs described below.

Amazon is making every effort to resume normal operations and will let you know as soon as there are any updates. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
❓ 1. What products have been added to the list of products I can create a shipment for?
Amazon will continue to prioritize delivery of the products people are in urgent need of today. Starting now, we will be increasing the number of products we can ship to our fulfillment centers, but we will limit the number of products we can restock for some of these products. Please note that this policy update does not apply to Amazon fulfillment centers in France. According to a French court ruling on April 14, 2020, the Amazon fulfillment center in France has now suspended operations. You can view the products for which you can create shipments by visiting the “Replenish Inventory” page and the “Replenishment Report”.
❓ 2. Can I now ship my products to the fulfillment center in France?
Not yet possible. Currently, we are not accepting any shipments to French fulfillment centers. If you have products that meet the shipment creation requirements, please ship these products to fulfillment centers in other countries/regions.
❓ 3. How often does Amazon update the list of products that meet the requirements to create a shipment on the “Replenish Inventory” page? How often should I check it out?
Amazon updates this list regularly. We've now added the product list update date to the “Replenish Inventory” page so you can check when we last updated this list. We recommend that you review the “Replenish Inventory” page or “Replenishment Report” according to your business review cycle to see if there are any new products to create a shipment.
❓ 4. How do I create a shipment on the “Replenish Inventory” page?
Select the SKU you want to restock and click “Create Shipping Plan” on the right to create a shipment. To create a shipping plan for multiple SKUs, check the box to the left of each relevant SKU, then click “Act on # selected items” and select “Create a shipping plan”.
Reminder: Make sure you have the required user privileges to create shipments. You can review and update your permissions in Seller Central > Settings > User Permissions. To create a shipment, make sure the “View and Edit” permission is enabled for Inventory Planning.
❓ 5. How do I know which products have quantity restrictions?
On the “Replenish Inventory” page, products that meet the requirements to create a shipment but in limited quantities will be marked “Limited Replenishment.”
❓ 6. How do I know what the quantity limit for limited-stock items is?
You can find out the quantity limits for limited-stock products in two ways:
● “Replenish Inventory” page: Click the number of products directly above the color bar in the “Days of Delivery” column (highlighted in yellow in the screenshot below). In the pop-up window, the quantity corresponding to the end of the green area on the color bar indicates the highest inventory level. To calculate the number of products you can send, you can subtract “Total Amazon Inventory Supply” from your maximum inventory level. Please ensure that the number of items in all pending and removed shipments is taken into account.
● “Replenishment Report”: Click the “Download Report” button in the upper right corner of the “Replenish Inventory” page (highlighted in yellow in the image below). You can view the current maximum inventory threshold in the “Current month - Maximum inventory threshold” column in the report. To calculate the number of products you can send, you can subtract “Total Items” from the maximum inventory threshold for the month. Please ensure that the number of items in all pending and removed shipments is taken into account.
❓ 7. How does Amazon calculate how many products I can send?
When calculating the quantity of your products to be shipped, Amazon takes into account the product's historical sales volume, current inventory levels, and available storage space in Amazon's fulfillment centers.
❓ 8. What are Amazon's rules for new products or products that haven't been sold recently?
New products or products that have not been sold recently are eligible to create a shipment, but the quantity is limited.
❓ 9. Can I request an increase in the quantity limit for products?
No. Amazon is currently not accepting requests to amend quantity limits.
❓ 10. On the “Restock Inventory” page, what do the colored bars in the “Days of Availability” column mean?
The color bar displays an Inventory Level Monitor. The monitor is divided into five zones. If your unit count for the FNSKU is in the green zone, your inventory levels are within the recommended range to provide more one-day deliveries to Prime customers. If your unit count for the FNSKU is in the red or yellow zones, your FNSKU currently has too much or too little inventory. The zone thresholds are calculated a month in advance.
Although currently affected by the pandemic, our delivery times may be longer than usual, and our ability to provide next-day delivery to Prime customers may be temporarily limited, but keeping inventory levels within the green zone can help you keep your inventory sufficient, especially for best-selling products.
Note that not all products show an Inventory Level Monitor. We are always working to expand the number of products that show an Inventory Level Monitor.
❓ 11. Amazon needs to receive certain products as a priority during the COVID-19 pandemic. Where can I check the inventory status of SKUs that have been temporarily removed from the “Replenish Inventory” page?
You can check the inventory status for all SKUs on the Seller Central > Inventory > Manage Inventory page.
❓ 12. Why can't I create a shipment for some of my products?
You may not be able to create a shipment if your product has the following conditions:
● The number of products in the shipping plan exceeds the SKU limit
● The item does not meet the requirements to create a shipment
● Some products may be unsafe and cannot be accepted
❓ 13. Will Amazon continue to extend the promised delivery times for products that are not currently within priority processing?
Amazon will continue to prioritize delivery of products that people currently urgently need, and will deliver slightly lower priority products as soon as possible. At the same time, it will also continue to strictly abide by various protective measures formulated in accordance with the health department's guidance, such as “maintaining social distance,” to ensure the safety and health of employees.
