A button battery (also called a “coin battery ”) is a single battery, similar to a button, which looks like a small half-silver can with a diameter of 5 to 25 mm and a height of 1 to 6 mm. It provides a voltage of 1 to 5 volts and is used to power watches, computer clocks, hearing aids, and other small devices. The bottom body of the battery (that is, the positive electrode) is usually made of stainless steel, and the metal top cover is insulated from the bottom to form the negative electrode. It also comes in a variety of forms, including alkaline batteries, silver batteries, zinc-air batteries, and lithium batteries.

According to relevant data, every 75 minutes, a child is treated for battery-related injuries in the emergency room. Among them, swallowing is the main cause of these visits, while 85% of cases involve button batteries. If a child accidentally swallows a button battery, it may get stuck in the throat and immediately trigger an electric current due to contact with saliva, causing a chemical reaction. In severe cases, it may also burn through the esophagus, trachea, and aorta. These hazards may only take two hours to occur, and the severity of the burn will continue to worsen even if the battery is removed. Additionally, a depleted battery can still carry enough charge to cause serious injury and death. Therefore, sellers need to pay extra attention to product safety when selling such products, and non-compliant products will be removed from Amazon's shelves.

Amazon requires all coin cells and coin cells to be tested and comply with the following regulations, standards, and requirements:

Children's tops with drawstrings can be dangerous if wrapped around other items. When fully unfolded, the waist and bottom drawstrings should not exceed the drawstring outlet by more than 3 inches. Also, the free end of the drawstring must not have any buckles, knots, or other accessories. If a 2T to size 16 children's top has a full drawstring at the waist and bottom, it must be sewn in place (treated with a seam stop process) to prevent the drawstring from being pulled out in its entirety.

Amazon does not allow sellers to list and sell prohibited products, illegal products, or products with safety concerns in the marketplace to ensure that customers can buy safe, reliable, and compliant products. For safety reasons, Amazon prohibits the sale of children's tops (such as jackets and sweatshirts) in sizes 2T to 12 with a hood and drawstring neckline; this type of clothing is usually worn on the outermost side. This prohibition does not include upper wear such as underwear and inner layers.

Amazon requires that all other children's tops in sizes 2T to 16 (plus size), with drawstrings at the waist and bottom, be tested and meet the following specific regulations and standards:

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a final rule on magnet safety standards (16 CFR 1262), which applies to all relevant magnet products manufactured after the date of publication of the document. This rule is designed to reduce injury or death caused by swallowing one or more high-powered magnets.

This rule applies to magnets used in non-toy products, including loose or separable magnet products. Non-toy magnetic products are consumer products designed, marketed, or intended for recreational use, jewelry (including children's jewelry), mental stimulation, or stress relief. The scope of application of this rule does not include products specifically used for educational or research purposes and sold or distributed to school teachers, researchers, professionals, or commercial or industrial users.

Amazon requires all magnetic products to be tested and comply with the following regulations, standards, and requirements:
