Amazon US sellers, please complete the information review required by the new law by June 27
July 7, 2023
Recently, many sellers on the US website have received emails about the Consumer Notification Act one after another.
Amazon's current information verification is based on the US federal law “Consumer Notification Act”, which will come into effect on June 27, 2023, Beijing time.
According to the requirements of the Act, third party sellers who sell on Amazon's US marketplace and meet the requirements of the corresponding provisions of the Act are required to provide relevant business information, and Amazon is obligated to collect, verify, and disclose the relevant information.
Amazon is taking steps to verify relevant seller information that meets the requirements of the Act. During this process, Amazon will take strict measures to protect the seller's data security.

The Act applies to third party sellers who sell products on the Amazon Marketplace and meet the following conditions:
Over the past 24 months, total sales of new products (or unused items) were greater than 200 units for 12 consecutive months, and total transactions exceeded $5,000.

Business information provided by sellers to Amazon must meet the requirements of the Consumer Notification Act. As of June 27, 2023, Amazon will collect, verify, and disclose business information from all eligible third party sellers to consumers. These include:
● Seller identity verification
● Bank account verification
● Business address verification
● Phone number verification
● Verification of tax information
