Depending on the stage the seller is in, there are the following 3 situations:
1 Sellers who have not yet started the verification process
If your account has received a verification notice from Amazon regarding the INFORM Consumers Act, and as of July 17, one or more verifications still show as not started, your account will be suspended from selling.
2 Sellers who have completed verification but provided insufficient information
If you have already provided information, but it is insufficient or inaccurate, and you do not submit the required materials within 10 days of receiving Amazon’s notification, your account may also be suspended from selling.
3 Sellers who have completed verification and are waiting for platform review
If you have already provided the information, but Amazon has not yet completed the verification ("In Progress" is shown on the "Account Info" and "Account Health" pages), your account will not be affected in this case.

You need to take action right away and provide the required materials for INFORM Consumers Act verification. If Amazon successfully verifies your information, you do not need to take any other action at this time (for example, contacting Seller Support with questions or appeals), and your account will be reactivated within 48–72 hours.

1 Scope of the INFORM Consumers Act
2 Ongoing Enforcement of the INFORM Consumers Act
For the 2 types of sellers—those who have completed INFORM Consumers Act verification and those who have not—the following situations will apply in the future:
🔹Scenario 1: Sellers who completed verification this time
If you have already provided the latest business information and passed Amazon’s verification, you only need to promptly provide the required information and complete the verification when the INFORM Consumers Act annual verification takes place.
Please note that if you update your business information after completing verification, it will trigger verification under the INFORM Consumers Act again.
🔹Scenario 2: Sellers who have not yet completed verification
When your account meets the conditions described above under “Scope of the INFORM Consumers Act,” Amazon will contact you by email (as shown) at any time and provide specific instructions. At the same time, banners may appear on your “Account Info” page and “Account Health” page (as shown), prompting you to complete the related verification steps.
“Account Info” page path: log in to Amazon Seller Central and click “Settings > Account Info”
“Account Health” page path: log in to Amazon Seller Central and click “Performance > Account Health”
At the same time, after the Act takes effect on 06/27/2023, the INFORM Consumers Act will require Amazon to verify sellers’ information once a year to ensure the accuracy of your business information. A quick reminder: be sure to take the appropriate action based on the email content within the time specified in the email notice to avoid affecting your sales!
