The new shoe size rules apply to all new ASINs and existing ASINs. If you do not make the changes by the deadline, your product will be search suppressed!

During the transition period, the old Size Name attribute will be retained as needed. If you provide both attributes, the value you provide for the new FootwearSize will override the value provided in Size Name. The existing Size Name attribute will be removed after the transition period, and the FootwearSize attribute will become required.

To provide a better shopping experience for customers, Amazon has standardized shoe size attribute values and requires every size menu to use the same consistent size format, making it easier for customers to search by size and width. At the same time, standardized size displays can also help increase ASIN traffic and help footwear sellers improve sales conversion. The new shoe size includes information related to footwear size, width, gender, and age group, and the Size Name attribute will be removed.

For example, a women’s "B" width indicates medium, while a men’s "B" width indicates narrow; a women’s "3A" width indicates extra narrow [XN], while a men’s "3A" width indicates extra extra narrow [XXN].

Amazon no longer uses alphanumeric width labels. Instead, it uses its own general shoe width range—from XXN to XXW—with clear values that are easier for end customers to understand.
