When shopping on Amazon, customers refer to the size chart to understand product sizing and make purchasing decisions. In a customer survey conducted by Amazon, 60% of survey respondents said size charts can be used to assess fit (second only to “customer reviews” and “How It Fit”). By providing customers with an accurate size chart, your brand can help customers make more accurate decisions and reduce size-related returns.

Recently, Amazon launched a new self-service size chart upload tool. Now you don't need sales partner support to upload your size chart, but you have the flexibility to set up a variety of size charts for different ASINs.

Today, Xiaobian will explain to you how to use the following size chart upload tool and share some tips for uploading size charts~

Brand sellers (including authorized brand sellers) can upload a new size chart or edit an existing size chart using the size chart self-service tool. All users with permission to edit listings can use the size chart self-service tool without contacting sales partner support. You can download the size chart template, upload your changes, and preview your size chart before publishing it to your product detail page on Amazon.

If you want to upload a size chart for another marketplace, or if you want to delete a size chart, please contact Sales Partner Support.

STEP 1

In Seller Central, go to “Catalog” and select “Add Size Chart”.

If you are unable to access the size chart self-service tool, please contact your main account administrator to enable size chart permissions in “User Permissions” under “Settings”.

STEP 2

Select the site and search for an ASIN to determine the exact size chart template you want to download based on that ASIN's category and product type.

STEP 3

Download the size chart template. The template will pre-fill the existing measurements based on the ASIN.
► If the tool cannot find the size data, the template will be left blank.
► If you don't have a size chart template, please contact Sales Partner Support and submit a size chart template creation request.

STEP 4

In the downloaded template, enter or edit measurements for your ASIN or the entire product type. Empty cells in the template will not appear on the size chart on the product detail page. The units of measure on Amazon product detail pages may differ from those in the template, but the unit type (such as inches or centimeters) has been automatically converted for you. Please use the units of measure listed in the template.

STEP 5

Select the size chart upload method and upload the size chart. There are two ways to use the self-service tool to apply the size chart:
► Apply the size chart to a single ASIN
To provide customers with the most relevant and accurate measurements, please create a size chart for a specific ASIN. You can upload a maximum of three size charts when uploading to a single ASIN.
► Apply the same size chart for all ASINs of a product type (such as dresses or pants)
This will automatically be applied to any current and future ASINs added to that product type. If any ASIN in the selected product type already has a dedicated size chart, there is no need to use the generic product type size chart and the ASIN specific size chart will continue to be displayed.

STEP 6

Click “Publish”. After selecting “Release”, your size chart will be posted to the Amazon Marketplace within 8 hours.

Adding body measurements instead of product measurements to the size chart, such as bust, waist, hips, height, etc., will make your size chart more intuitive for customers. You can use product measurements for any product-specific size, such as sleeve length.

If possible, apply a specific size chart for a single ASIN: In contrast, when brands use generic product type size charts, product return rates are usually higher.

As much as possible, keep the measurements of all ASINs in each product type consistent (for example, set the 4 metrics of bust, waist, hips, and height). This allows customers to compare different ASINs more intuitively, and also helps build trust in the brand. However, if your product has a unique ASIN size chart, please use the ASIN size chart instead.

Make sure the size in the size chart matches the size in the drop-down menu so that customers can choose the size option they have selected in the size chart accordingly.

Make sure the size chart information is consistent in the size chart, image column, and A+ content so that customers always see the same data.

I'm the main account administrator and I want to grant size chart rights to other authorized users. How do I do that?

If you are the primary account administrator who wants to grant size chart rights to other authorized users in your account, go to “User Permissions” under “Settings” and click “Manage Global Permissions”. Then navigate to “Size Chart” under “Inventory ” and switch the “View and Edit” permission.

My Excel template failed to upload, what is the reason?

If the Excel template upload fails, you can download the error report from this tool. The error report will be self-descriptive and will clearly capture all the errors. You must fix any errors that appear in the bug report before you can upload again.

If the Excel template is successfully uploaded and there are no errors, a preview of the uploaded size chart and a successful upload report (if applicable) will be displayed on the screen. The downloadable success report contains all modifications made to the uploaded size chart to comply with the standardized rules established by Amazon.
