Thousands of ASINs synced and translated in minutes?Essential tools for Amazon's multi-site seller infrastructure
July 7, 2023
Expanding business across sites is already the first choice for sellers to maintain their growth in performance!Xiaobian recently received a message. Some seller friends have the following concerns when expanding the new site:

No need to worry!Amazon has free cross-site sync tools “One-Click Listing Global (LOSG)” and “Create International Product Information (BIL)”, which can help you synchronize listings to multiple sites, as well as an automatic translation function to save your operating costs and time, and help you easily set up a global business!

There are thousands of ASINs in the store, and the sales cycle is relatively short. Simultaneous Listing pursues speed and efficiency. Which one should I use?

Our brand doesn't have many ASINs, but we've been in business for a while and have accumulated a certain number of positive reviews from customers. The images and A+ pages of each ASIN have been carefully polished, so I hope to sync this information together.
Sellers don't worry, let's take a look at the comparison between “One-Click Listing Global (LOSG)” and “Establishing International Product Information (BIL)”, and you'll know which one is right for you!

For Amazon sellers with a large number of products, BIL can synchronize a large number of products from the “source site” to the “target site” using the catalog at once, and use uniform price setting rules, making it easier for sellers to save time and effort;
If the number of products is small and the product information has more personalized editing needs on each site, it is suitable to use LOSG (global single upload and batch upload) to manually adjust the products on each site. Details such as images and keywords can be automatically translated and synchronized across multiple listing sites.
Example:
Brand seller Lili plans to sync 15 ASINs, A+ pages, and customer reviews from the UK site to the Dutch site and Poland site, then LOSG is probably more appropriate.
Clothing seller Xiaowei plans to synchronize nearly 900 ASINs from the German site to the Belgian site and Sweden site at once, so Xiaowei is recommended to use BIL.

Multi-site view
It is convenient for sellers to check the status, quantity, and price of a product on all sites at a glance on the same page, promptly detect abnormal conditions of a product on a certain site, and take action as soon as possible.

Intelligent translation of listing text
It is convenient for sellers to check the status, quantity, and price of a product on all sites at a glance on the same page, promptly detect abnormal conditions of a product on a certain site, and take action as soon as possible.

A+ page automatic translation
Help sellers save on translation costs and time syncing listings.
*Currently, automatic translation of A+ product descriptions is only supported for countries within the same region (such as the US to Mexico and within the European Union)

Units/dimensions (such as inches and centimeters) are automatically converted
In line with local market customs. For example, when products from the US station are synchronized to the Singapore station, inches are automatically converted to centimeters

Step4
Go to “Inventory > Manage Inventory (Manage Inventory)” and check if the addition was successful

Tips:
Product details on the main site are usually updated within 15 minutes, and translations and processing on other sites are updated within 12 hours
Usage scenario 3
Add Products via Upload
Step1
The batch uploaded template tool can also implement the “One-click Listing Go Global” function.

Step2
Consistent with batch upload on a single site, “One-click Listing Connect Global” requires relevant settings and download the upload template before uploading listings

Step3
Select the sites you want to sell to add site/region-level offer information before downloading the template

Step4
Enter product information in the Global Template and fill in the region-level product quantity and site-level price

Usage scenario 4
One-stop multi-site editing of product information
Step1
Edit from the Manage Inventory page just like editing a single-site listing.
● Click “Manage Inventory” in the “Inventory” drop-down menu

● Browse to the desired SKU and click the “Edit” option

step2-1:
Find the “Multi-Site” view at the bottom of the “Offers” tab to view all site item status, quantity, and price

Tips:
If a site's status shows “In Progress,” that means the listing that was previously created is still being processed on that site.
step2-2:
Edit site-level quantities and prices in a multi-site view.

Step3
When editing global product information, you can also choose to expand your listing to a new site.

Step4
Products need to meet the compliance requirements of the corresponding national site at each site. Additional information about unsuccessful listings on other sites can be viewed on the “Manage Inventory” page or the “Edit” feature page.

Due to the characteristics of the category, Lili's store introduces product specifications in detail on each detail page, and also uses the A+ page module to add more images and product information. At the same time, because the unit price of the product is relatively high (70-300 US dollars), Lili believes that customer reviews are an important factor for consumers to decide whether to buy after entering the page.
Therefore, in October 2022, Lili expanded her business from the UK station to the Dutch station and Poland station, using “One-Click Listing Global” to sync a total of 15 ASINs, A+ pages, and customer reviews to the Dutch and Polish stations. The tool automatically translates English into Dutch and Polish, helping Lili save time and manual translation costs.
After one-click sync, Lili also adjusted the listing according to the characteristics of different sites to make it more suitable for the cultural habits of local users. For example, orange and tulip elements were added to the Dutch site. The results were well received by consumers, which not only improved sales performance, but also helped the brand's global layout.

Establishing International Product Information (BIL) is an official listing synchronization tool widely used by Amazon sellers. For Amazon sellers with a large number of products, BIL can support the automatic translation and synchronization of a large number of products from the source site to (multiple) target sites at once, in units of the entire product catalog. At the same time, BIL allows sellers to quickly diagnose and debug the synchronized status in one stop while carrying out a large number of simultaneous listings, so as not to miss a single sales opportunity!

Usage scenario 1
Synchronize products to target marketplaces in batches
Step1
In the “Inventory” drop-down menu in Seller Central, select “Sell Globally”, click “Build International Product Information”, then click “Get Started”

Step2
Select the source marketplace and target marketplace, then click Save and Continue

Step3
Click “Change Product” to independently select the products you want to copy in the target marketplace (set rules or select specific products), then click “Save and Continue”

Step4
Define the default price rules and click “Save and Continue”

Usage scenario 2
Once syncing is complete, check for items that haven't finished syncing
The image below shows the “Report Home Page” of a Seller Central. You can see the sync process and the number of products excluded at each step. After placing the mouse on the small label on the right side of each line, you can check the specific reason why the product failed to sync.

Indicate an item that is currently unsellable
Sellers are required to check inventory status and replenish inventory in a timely manner
BIL will only sync available products in the source marketplace. When the product is on sale and meets your product selection criteria, then BIL will automatically sync the product to the target marketplace. Therefore, sellers need to check the product availability and replenish inventory in a timely manner in the “Manage Inventory” of the source marketplace to avoid loss of business opportunities due to lack of stock.
Note: BIL will not sync if the ASIN above the blue “dividing line” in the report is deducted.

Indicate the number of products that do not match the selection criteria established by the seller
Sellers are required to pay attention to product selection conditions
BIL will only sync products that are currently on sale based on the selection conditions selected by the seller.

Indicate products that the seller has excluded from BIL or that the seller has made simultaneous adjustments manually
Sellers need to visit the “Manage Excluded Products” page to see a complete list of products that were not synchronized through the “Build International Listings” tool
BIL will sync all eligible products; however, if the seller has previously modified the price of a product in the target marketplace using synchronization tools other than BIL (such as adding one by one, batch templates, APIs, managing inventory), then BIL will exclude that product during synchronization.

Indicate an item that could not be synchronized due to an automatic translation failure
BIL automatically localizes the source product information, but due to different restrictions in different marketplaces, it may cause localization to fail (for example, the target marketplace Asian requires additional attribute information such as color and size to be added for localization. )
Sellers can process the “ASIN information cannot be automatically translated into the target marketplace language 'Screening' Simultaneous Grouping” by downloading the BIL Report. The specific actions and steps are as follows:
1. Download and view the BIL report and check the list of ASINs that require a detail page in the target marketplace by clicking “The selected product cannot automatically translate the ASIN information into the target marketplace language 'filter' synchronized group”;
2. Manually create this ASIN in the target marketplace using the appropriate language, and ensure that the SKU of this ASIN must match the SKU in the source marketplace;
3. Since this SKU was created manually in the target marketplace, the system will automatically add it to the BIL connection exclusion list;
4. Navigate to the “Manage Excluded Products” page and remove the products you created from the exclusion settings.
5. BIL will try to sync this item.
6. Generate a new BIL report to check the updated sync status of these products.

Indicate that approval is required to list products in the target marketplace
Seller approval is required for these products
BIL will not sync products that require approval to sell in target marketplaces.
To obtain approval for a product, follow these steps:
1. Download and navigate to the BIL report and view the list of products that require approval to be sold in the target marketplace by clicking “Required products require approval to be published in the target marketplace”;
2. Review the “Why” and “Recommended Next Steps” for each SKU to learn more about requesting approval.
After understanding the reason for each set of sync failures, sellers can select each group (Group) and see error codes and detailed instructions for individual products, which can be excluded and corrected.

On Christmas Eve last year, Xiaowei decided to expand her business and enter the Belgian and Swedish stations. In order to save operational energy and time, he used BIL to sync the entire product catalog (nearly 900 ASINs) from the German site to the Belgian and Swedish sites with one click. It was successfully synchronized in just a few minutes, greatly improving work efficiency.
Xiaowei also downloaded the BIL sync report to check the sync status of her listings. The report diagnosed 10 products as “currently unsellable.” I communicated with the account manager and learned that BIL will only sync the sellable products in the source marketplace. When the product is on sale and meets the product selection criteria, BIL will automatically sync the product to the target marketplace. After discovering the problem, Xiaowei promptly checked the product's sales status and replenished inventory, and successfully seized the Christmas sales opportunity, which increased performance by 20%.
Xiaobian recently received feedback from sellers that there are still some things I don't understand about BIL settings. Here's a list of frequently asked questions and answers to help you solve your doubts:

Q1 If a seller removes an ASIN from the target site and still maintains the BIL association, will BIL sync the ASIN from the source site to the target site again?
Yes
Q2 Can sellers link multiple source sites to multiple target sites?
Sellers can establish up to two sets of BIL associations, and the source or target sites in the two associations must not be duplicated. For example, a seller can set up a set of US to Germany, plus a set of UK to France, for a total of two sets of associations that do not duplicate the source site and target site.
Q3 If the seller changes the source site, what will happen to the ASIN on the target site? Will it be covered?
For example, if you change UK->FR to DE->FR, the ASIN synced from the UK to France will be retained, but the price will be updated according to the seller's settings in DE.
