FBA General Questions

9 How can I view the pricing preview for FBA products?
If you would like to view the details of the FBA fees associated with an FBA item, you can do so in the following ways:
  1. Go to the Amazon Inventory Management page and search for the corresponding product.
  2. Click the amount number under Fee Preview in the list.
  3. On the pop-up page, click Show FBA Fulfillment Fee Details to view the specific FBA fee details.
How do I check products that have been in an FBA warehouse for a long time?
You can check it out by following these steps:
  1. Go to Seller Central and click “Fulfillment” under the REPORTS section.
  2. Click “Inventory Age” under Inventory on the left to go to the inventory time report download page.
  3. Click “Request Download” to download the Inventory Time Report to check how long items have been in the warehouse.
How do I increase my FBA inventory limit?
The Inventory Performance Index (IPI) is a single measure of overall performance over time. Amazon uses IPI to measure the performance of a seller's FBA business.

IPI scores are based on your ability to drive sales by stocking up on best-selling products and efficiently managing existing inventory. An IPI above 550 indicates that your business is excellent. An IPI below 450 indicates that you should take immediate steps to improve your score. IPI above 350, FBA is unrestricted.
How do I qualify for “Two-Day Delivery”?
As a seller, you must meet the following 4 conditions at the same time to be eligible for Two-Day Shipping:
  1. You've been selling on Amazon for at least 90 days.
  2. You must be able to provide a valid tracking number from UPS, US Postal Service, Fedex, or OnTrac. (Amazon's system can only confirm the tracking ID of these delivery companies)
  3. The performance metrics for your valid tracking rate, on-time delivery rate, and your order cancellation rate all meet Amazon's performance requirements.
  4. At least 10 orders have been placed in the past 30 days.
For more information on Two-Day Shipping, search “Requirements for Two-Day Shipping” in Seller Central.
Are there any restrictions on the carrier of a shipment when sending a shipment to an Amazon warehouse in the US?
We have no restrictions on the carrier of the shipment; you can choose any carrier of your choice to ship the item to the warehouse, as long as that carrier has customs clearance capabilities and guarantees delivery to the warehouse at no cost to Amazon.

FBA order issues

Buyers report that they haven't received the item in the multi-channel order created by the seller, but the order's logistics information shows that the item has been delivered. What should I do about this issue?
Amazon has two delivery methods for multi-channel orders: one is shipped directly by Amazon Logistics, and the other is delivered by an Amazon partnered carrier.

For multi-channel orders shipped by Amazon Logistics, the order tracking number is not provided on the order details page. If the buyer still contacts the seller to say that they have not received the shipment after 7 days of delivery, please contact Seller Support promptly for further assistance.

For multi-channel orders shipped by Amazon's partner carriers, carrier information and logistics tracking numbers will be fed back on the relevant order details page. At this point, sellers can check the logistics information on the carrier's official website to check whether the delivery address is wrong, and try contacting the logistics company to check the status of the shipment. If the logistics information shows that the customer has not received the item 7 days after delivery, please contact Seller Support promptly for further assistance.
Why do some FBA order amounts show 0?
When the buyer receives the item shipped by Amazon, if the buyer feels that the item received is of poor quality, they can request a replacement. At this point, Amazon will re-create a new $0 replacement order for the buyer. Since the buyer paid for the original order, there is no longer a need for the buyer to repay for a new replacement order.
For returned items in the original order, the buyer is required to return them to the warehouse within 45 days. If the buyer returns a replacement item that is not returned to the warehouse on time, Amazon will reimburse the seller for the loss in accordance with the relevant compensation policy.
How are customer return requests for FBA orders handled?
Before processing a buyer's return request, we must make it clear that all after-sales service for FBA orders is provided by Amazon customer service. When the buyer of an FBA order contacts the seller to request a return, the seller needs to direct the buyer to contact Amazon Customer Service in the following ways to process it:
  1. Go to the Amazon US homepage (www.amazon.com) and click “Help” at the bottom of the page
  2. Click “Need More Help” below the link --- “Contact Us”
  3. Buyers need to log in to their account, enter the relevant order details as appropriate, and select any method (phone, email, online chat) to contact Amazon customer service for processing.
How do I check the tracking number for a Multichannel Fulfilment Order?
Logistics information for a Multi-Channel Fulfilment Order (multi-channel order) will not be displayed on the order details page until it is shipped from the warehouse. Sellers will only be able to view the order's logistics information on the order details page once it has been shipped from the warehouse.

FBA inventory management settings issues

Why does the FBA Listing inventory show “Reserved”?
1. Amazon warehouses are measuring the size or weight of the product

2. The item is in the process of being transferred. After the product has been received, it will be transferred from the Amazon fulfillment center and sent to a different fulfillment center in the US for storage. While the product is being transferred, its inventory will be marked as “Reserved”; when the warehouse allocation is complete, your product will automatically change to a “Fulfillable” status. If the entire inventory of the product is displayed as “Reserved,” click to enter the product detail page to see the time the warehouse transfer was completed, that is, the time it is in stock.

3. “Pending” orders have been placed. To view “Pending” orders, follow these steps:
  • Click “Manage Orders” in “Orders” and click “Advanced Search” next to “Search” to use advanced search.
  • Select the search criteria as “ASIN”, select a time range, then check “Amazon-fulfilled (FBA) orders”.
  • Order Status Select “Pending” and click the “Search” button to view the “Pending” order.
Sellers can download the report for specific information through Reports — Fulfilment — Inventory — Reserved Inventory- Request in Seller Central.
After an FBA order has been returned, how do I check if the item has been returned to the warehouse?
  1. Click “Fulfilment” under the Reports section.
  2. Click the “Returns” button under Customer Concessions on the left to enter the return inquiry page.
  3. You can check if the item has been returned to the warehouse by entering the relevant information on this page.
How do I remove Unfulfillable product inventory?
1. On the Amazon inventory page, find and check the product listings you want to remove, then select “Create Removal Order” in the drop-down menu next to Apply to 0 Selected Item (s) and click “Go”.
2. Select “Ship To Address” in the Method of Removal column on the removal order creation page, enter the delivery address information and the quantity to be removed, then click “Continue” in the lower right corner to enter the removal order preview page.

3. After confirming the order information, click “Place Order” to generate a removal order.

Note:

1) If you only need to remove unfulfillable products, just fill in the quantity to be removed in the “Unfulfillable Qty” column; there is no need to fill in the “Fulfillable Qty” column.

2) You can only select a return address for removal orders within the US. If you need to return the item to an address outside of the contiguous US, you will need to first deliver the item to an address in the continental US and then contact a third-party freight forwarder for forwarding.

3) Warehouse Damaged products cannot create a removal order, and the warehouse will automatically reimburse and remove the quantity

For more information on creating removal orders, search “Remove Inventory from Fulfilment Centers” in Seller Central.
How do I delete listings on the Amazon Inventory Management page?
Currently, listings on the Amazon inventory management page cannot be deleted, but sellers can archive and hide listings that are no longer being sold in the following ways:
  1. On the Manage Amazon Inventory page, check the products you want to hide.
  2. Click the “Archive Items” option in the drop-down menu at the top of the listing list, then click “Go” to archive it.
If the seller wants the product listing to be displayed again on the Amazon Inventory Management page, they can restore it by following the steps below:
  • On the Amazon Inventory Management page, check “Include Archived Items”.
  • Find the products that have been archived and check the product listings you want to restore.
  • Select “Unarchive Items” from the drop-down menu and click “Go” to unarchive the status.
Please note that if the product shows inventory in either Fulfillable, Unfulfillable, or Reserved status on the Amazon Inventory Management page, archiving operations cannot be carried out.
How do I delete the Failed listing in the Manage Inventory page?
The Failed listing shown on the inventory management page is actually an item awaiting completion. Currently, sellers are unable to delete these listings directly within the Amazon Seller Central Office. If the seller doesn't fix these listings, these Failed listings will automatically be removed from this list within 30 days of the error being reported and will not appear in the seller's inventory.
What should I do if the product listing error shows no listing exists for this inventory item on the Amazon Inventory Management page?
This question is divided into three situations. The seller is asked to match the corresponding scenario and follow the corresponding steps.

Scenario 1: The product's delivery method on the Manage Inventory page is Merchant, but the corresponding listing on the FBA inventory management page shows “No Amazon-fulfilled listing exists for this item inventory.” The error was reported.
Solution: The reason for this issue is that the FBA product does not have a corresponding FBA listing. Sellers need to find a product listing with the same SKU in the inventory management page, click “Changed to Fulfilled by Amazon” in the Actions button next to the “Edit” button at the back of the listing to enter the conversion page, then click “Convert Only” in the lower right corner of the page to convert to an FBA listing.

Scenario 2: Product Listings cannot be found on the Manage Inventory page, and an error is reported on the FBA Inventory Management page: No listing exists for this inventory item.
Solution: This issue also occurs because FBA products do not have corresponding FBA listings. Sellers need to follow these steps:
  1. Go to the “Add a Product” page under the INVENTORY section in Seller Central.
  2. Search for the corresponding ASIN in the search bar.
  3. Once you've found a product with a matching ASIN, click “Sell on Amazon” below it to create a follow-up listing shipped by Amazon.
Note: When editing product information, the SKU ID for the product must match the SKU of the product with the error in the FBA inventory management page, otherwise the system will not be able to match the information between the two.

If the seller is unable to find product information for the corresponding ASIN in the search bar, they will need to contact Seller Support to process it.

Scenario 3: The product listing is consistent with the data in the Manage Inventory and Manage FBA Inventory pages, but the product listing is inactive, and the FBA inventory management page shows an error message: Item not in catalog. Also, the product detail page shows Currently Unavailable.
Solution: There are many causes for this issue, and the seller needs to contact Seller Support for further investigation and resolution.
What should I do if the “Problem” tab on the Manage Shipments page indicates a problem with the shipment?
If a “Problem” tab appears within the shipment indicating a problem with the shipment, follow these steps:

1. Go to the shipment management page for this shipment and click the “Problem” tab to go to the problem page.
2. The problem page will indicate the specific problem with the item in the shipment. If the seller already knows what the problem is and understands the correct way to proceed when entering the shipment, they can directly click the “Resolve” button.

Please note: Products with issues will be counted in inbound performance and require close attention from the seller. If the seller's shipment is not delivered to the Amazon warehouse in accordance with Amazon's inbound policy, it will not only affect the processing speed of the shipment, but if the inbound policy is violated several times, the seller's inbound permission will also be temporarily suspended, and the shipment will not be created for storage at that time.
How long will it take for the shipment to arrive at the US warehouse to be received? What should I do if there is a difference in quantity?
Generally, if the seller's shipment arrives at the US warehouse, the warehouse will receive it within 14 business days and adjust the status of the shipment to “Closed.” If there is a mismatch between the quantity received and the quantity shipped by the seller, the shipment will be displayed as “Delivered” until all of the warehouses have received it.
If there is a difference in the quantity received, the seller can click on the “Reconcile” section to check the “Date the Discrepancy was submitted” and whether they can submit a shipment discrepancy inquiry. If you can, please submit it. If unable to submit, wait until the date specified above before submitting, then the relevant handling team will conduct further investigation of the shipment and notify the seller via email when the results are available.
Why can't my newly created self-shipping listing be successfully converted to an FBA listing?
If a seller's newly created self-shipping listing isn't successfully converted to an FBA listing, it's usually because the ASIN was first entered the warehouse, and such products need to go through Amazon's dangerous goods review before they can be converted to an FBA listing.

Amazon requires sellers to provide corresponding Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) reports for review for products that are potentially dangerous during transportation, such as chemical products (including cosmetics), products containing lithium batteries, and products containing magnetism.

Sellers can contact the product manufacturer to obtain an MSDS report or download the MSDS exemption form by:
  1. Search in Seller Central and go to the “Request to Upload MSDS Documents” page.
  2. Click “Upload documents for Hazmat review” on the page to go to the MSDS file upload page.
  3. On the right side of this page, under Download, you can click the MSDS Exemption Form on the corresponding site.
To obtain an MSDS report or complete the MSDS exemption form, the seller needs to submit this file through the Upload Documents for Hazmat review page. The relevant review team will review it within 4 working days. After approval, the seller can convert to FBA listing again.

Note: If the seller confirms that the item was previously in stock, but it is still not possible to convert it to an FBA listing, please contact Amazon Seller Support immediately to process it.
Why is the product's FBA listing showing active but not selling properly on the product detail page?
The FBA listing that produced the product shows active but cannot be sold properly is mainly due to the following two reasons:
  1. Amazon has received complaints from multiple buyers about this product, so the Amazon warehouse forcibly removes the product for product inspection. This process usually takes 7-10 business days. After the warehouse investigation is complete, the warehouse will automatically restore the item's sellable condition; if the product does have quality problems, the batch of products will be listed as Unfillable and unable to continue to be sold, and the seller will need to create a removal order to move these products back into their hands for inspection.
  2. Seller account status issues
Sellers are advised to contact the Seller Support team for specific details as to the specific reason for this type of issue with the listing.

FBA optimization service issues

8 I want an Amazon warehouse to help me repackage my returned item. How do I set it up?
Unpacked products will be displayed as “Unfulfillable” when returned to the warehouse, and such products require the seller to create a removal order to move them back into their hands to be repackaged and put back into the warehouse before they can continue to be sold. Amazon has specially launched the FBA Repackaging Service (FBA Repackaging Service) to make it easier for sellers to handle such products. Once you start the service, the warehouse will repack eligible returned items in a standard brown box and put them on the shelves again for sale as new.

To activate this service, please follow the following path to set up:

Go to Seller Central, click “Fulfillment by Amazon” in the Settings drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the page, change the “Repackage Unsellable Customer Returns” option in Repackaging Settings to “Enable”, check the product categories that require this service, and then click “Update” to save.

Tip:

Currently, Amazon only accepts the following categories of products to activate this service:
●Home Improvement
●Kitchen
●Pet Products
●Sports
●Home
●Office
●Automotive
●Camera
●Wireless
●Lawn & Garden
●Business, Industrial, and Scientific Supplies
●Musical Instruments
●Shoes
●Apparel
●Fashion
More information can be found by searching the “FBA Repackaging Service” help page in Seller Central.
How do I send products with the same SKU to the same Amazon warehouse?
Amazon currently offers an Inventory Placement Service (Inventory Placement Service) for some categories of products. Once this service is enabled, sellers can send all of their inventory to a single Amazon fulfillment center. Once the shipment arrives at an Amazon fulfillment center, we will split the shipment and send it to a different fulfillment center for you. A per-item service fee will be charged for this service.

You can activate this service in the following ways:
  1. Go to Seller Central and click “Fulfilment by Amazon” in the Settings drop-down menu in the upper right corner
  2. Click the “Edit” button on the right side of Inbound Settings
  3. Click “Inventory Placement Service” in the Inventory Placement Option. Once this service is enabled, newly created shipments by sellers will be automatically distributed to the same warehouse.
Please note that the service currently does not support products in the following categories or with special conditions:
●Apparel
●Jewelry
●Shoes
●Media
●Commingled inventory
●Oversize items
●Products with special prep or handling requirements (for ●example, certain items classified as hazardous materials)
For more information on this service, please search “FBA Inventory Placement Service” in Seller Central.
If a shipment sent to the warehouse is forgotten to be labeled, will the warehouse receive the shipment normally?
If the seller forgets to label the shipment and send it directly to the warehouse, in most cases, the warehouse will accept the shipment normally, but there will also be cases where it will be rejected. Whether it can be received by the warehouse depends on the actual receipt results of the warehouse. If the warehouse successfully receives this batch of shipments, the warehouse will label the products on their behalf, and the fees generated by warehouse labeling will be displayed in the seller's payment information as an unplanned service fee.

The fees for warehouse labeling services are as follows:

For the first act of forgetting to label, the warehouse labeling fee is $0.2 per item. For items that have been forgotten to label multiple times, the warehouse fee is $0.4 per item, and if the issue occurs multiple times, the warehouse will suspend the seller's ability to create a shipment.
