Amazon sellers are required to properly pack their products to help ensure that the shipment arrives in perfect condition at the Amazon fulfillment center and can be stored efficiently and accurately so that sales can begin as soon as possible. Amazon US Box Size Requirements

According to regulations, a box containing multiple standard-sized or oversized items must not exceed 25.0 inches in length on any side.

Boxes that contain a single oversize item that do not fit the above dimension limitations must comply with the following requirements:

● A box can only exceed 25.0 inches if it contains a single oversized item greater than 25 inches in length. In this case, the box must only contain one single oversized item and must not be significantly longer than the item dimensions. Boxes that are excessively large relative to the oversize units may be subject to restriction of shipping privileges, additional fees, or refusal at a fulfillment center. For all boxes, we recommend leaving 2 inches of cushioning space on each side.

● The box can weigh more than 50 pounds, but not more than 65 pounds. If this is the case, the box must not exceed 25.0 inches on any side.

Note: Any box that weighs more than 50 pounds must have a “Multi-person Carry/ “Heavy Package”] safety label on the top and sides of each heavy-duty box (5 labels in total).

Important: We have a strict policy for managing box dimensions. Sending boxes larger than the specified size to the fulfillment center may cause you to be banned from sending future shipments.

What is the maximum weight of a box on Amazon US and what are the requirements?

Sellers are required to accurately measure the weight and dimensions of boxes and pallets to ensure accurate measurements are provided for each shipment. All cartons must also meet these weight requirements:

● Boxes must not exceed the standard weight limit of 50.00 pounds, unless they contain a single item that weighs more than 50.00 pounds.

1) For single products that weigh more than 50.00 pounds, please place a label on the top and side of the box clearly indicating that multiple people are moving together.

2) For individual products that weigh more than 100.00 pounds, please place a label clearly indicating mechanical lifting on the top and side of the box.

● Boxes containing jewellery or watches must not exceed 40.00 lbs.

● Although UPS allows larger box sizes and weights, this does not apply to boxes containing multiple standard-sized items.

Important: We have a strict policy for managing the weight of our boxes. Sending overweight cartons to the fulfillment center may lead to blocking of future shipments.

Note:

● Even if you choose not to provide box content information in Seller Central, or if you are not using an Amazon partnered carrier, you will need to provide accurate box weight and dimensions for all shipments.

● We currently do not provide “multi-person transfer” or “mechanical handling” labels to sellers. You can generate such labels yourself, so be sure to use the local language of the recipient country.
