Learning to create a product detail page (Listing page) is the first step to selling on Amazon, and the quality of your Listing also greatly affects the page’s conversion rate. If you want to become a cross-border selling “top student” and drive traffic efficiently to create bestselling products, it’s especially important to build an excellent Listing from 0 to 1. To help with this, we’ve put together the 8 basic elements of writing an Amazon Listing and the latest Listing scoring standards to help beginner sellers quickly learn how to write a good Listing.
How do you write a Listing, and what are the 8 basic elements of a Listing?
A Listing consists of 8 basic elements, including browse nodes, search keywords, images, titles, bullet points, product descriptions, A+/A+ Premium, and brand names, as well as other elements. A high-quality Listing can help you increase sales.
1. Browse nodes (Browse Node): help customers find the products you list on Amazon more easily.
2. Search keywords (Search Term): words that describe the product and are used by customers to search for products. They are not displayed on the product detail page.
3. Images (Product lmage): Each product needs one or more product images, including a main image and additional images.
4. Title (Title): This is the component that most directly and clearly conveys the product’s brand, model, and performance information.
5. Bullet Points (Bullet Point): They communicate important product features and highlight key or special information about the product.
6. Product Description (Product Description): This is a more detailed text description of the product.
7. A+/A+ Premium (product image and text details): you can improve product promotion effectiveness through a combination of images and text.
8. Brand Name: enter the brand of the product you are selling in the “Brand Name” field.

To determine Listing quality, refer to the latest Listing scoring standards
A correct and complete Listing can attract traffic and drive conversions. Its traffic and order volume can be 22% and 9.8% higher than an incomplete Listing1, and it can also improve the customer shopping experience. To determine whether a Listing is good enough, Amazon has a set of scoring standards, called the Listing scorecard. The higher the score, the more complete the Listing is and the better it meets customer needs.
To help you create a “perfect” Listing, Amazon has fully upgraded the Listing completeness scorecard. Please use it to check your Listing quality and identify optimization opportunities, learn how to earn a high score, and improve more efficiently and effectively!

Listing scorecard scoring guide:
A score of 80 or above (Grade A) is considered a Listing with acceptable completeness. We recommend using a score of 80 as your self-diagnostic standard. If your score is below 80, you can check which elements are missing and make improvements.
● A 80–100 points: has all elements or is missing only 1
● B 70–79 points: missing 1–2 elements, with room for improvement
● C 60–69 points: missing 2–3 elements, with room for improvement
● D 50–59 points: Missing 3–4 elements and needs improvement
● E 10–49 points: Missing 4–5 core attributes, which will seriously affect traffic and conversion, and requires urgent improvement
● F 0 points: An ASIN has been created but has compliance issues, or all elements are missing, and it is suppressed in search and browse
Listing score update notes:
Compared with the previous version, this upgraded scoring table adds 4 new key scoring items. These updates make it easier for customers to quickly understand products, make purchase decisions, and improve the customer experience. At the same time, the updated scoring items also provide you with more comprehensive standards for measuring Listing health and quality, as follows:
● Fill in all key attributes
● 10 characters < title length < 200 characters
● Title starts with the brand name
● Image information completeness
We’d like to remind every seller again that Listing is key to sales conversion. A product’s Listing directly affects whether traffic can be converted into orders. No matter where the traffic comes from, it is ultimately directed to the Listing page. Whether it converts into orders depends heavily on the Listing, so sellers must do a good job of improving and optimizing their Listings. Sellers who need it can use the Listing Completeness Online Self-Assessment Tool to get a comprehensive score for their Listing and receive a simulated rating and optimization recommendations. In addition, you can also go to the Create and Upload Product Information section in Seller Encyclopedia to learn more about the preparations before uploading a product detail page (Listing), the specific upload steps, and the self-check and evaluation criteria, so you can better optimize your Listing upload.
