If I want to know an Amazon site's guidelines on requirements for titles, where can I read it?
Overall, the accuracy of the title needs to include the following 5 points:
1. The product title cannot be longer than 200 characters (including spaces). Please refer to the Product Title Length Standard Exceptions for a list of exceptions to this requirement.
2. Product titles cannot include promotional terms such as “free shipping,” “100% quality guarantee,” “Christmas,” “Valentine's Day,” and “Father's Day.”
3. The product title cannot use the following special characters:! , $,? , _, {,}, ^, UT,. Other special characters, such as ~, #、 <, >, and*, can only be used in specific contexts. For example, you can use these symbols as product codes (“style #4301”) or measurements (“<10 lbs”). Decorative usage of special characters is not allowed. For example, the product title “Paradise Towel Wear Co.Beach Coverup< <Size Kids XXS>>” does not meet the requirements because there are too many symbols around the size.
4. The product title must include minimal information that clearly describes the product, such as “Amazon Essentials Dress,” “Columbia Hiking Boots,” or “Sony Headphones.”
5. There must be no repetitive words in the product title. For example, "Baby Boy Outfits Baby Boy fall Winter Clothes Baby Boy Long Sleeve Suspender Outfit Sets" is a non-compliant title.
Product title requirements and guidelines may vary from site to site, so please refer to each site's requirements. In the upper right corner of Seller Central, search the help page “Product Title Requirements and Guidelines” to easily understand the current site's specifications for titles. You can copy the link below to view it:

⚠️ Please note: The information in the Amazon system is updated in real time. It is recommended that you go to the help page to confirm it every time you need it, and avoid checking locally stored information to avoid missing relevant policy updates.

Why do I change the title but it doesn't take effect on the consumer side?
This could be the case in the following four situations:
1. After updating the title, the system did not meet the effective time
Generally speaking, after the product title is updated, it may be displayed in 15 minutes, but sometimes the system takes effect slowly, and it may take up to 48 hours. It is recommended to check whether it can be displayed on the front end after 48 hours.

2. The same ASIN corresponds to multiple SKUs, but the titles for the multiple SKUs are not the same
When an ASIN corresponds to multiple SKUs, the titles of the multiple SKUs need to be updated to the same title to enhance the system's ability to fetch, recognize your new title, and reflect it on the front end.

3. You currently have no control over the product title
Generally speaking, when multiple sellers (including Amazon related teams) provide attribute values for the same Asin title, the title will be controlled by one identity (seller/Amazon own/Amazon Other Page Team), and attribute values provided by sellers without control will not be able to be updated to the front end.

4. Product detail pages for some categories show the parent ASIN product title
Generally speaking, if some categories (such as “clothing”, “accessories and bags”, “sporting goods”, and “beauty” categories) have variation relationships, the detail page shows the product name of the parent ASIN. The product name of the child ASIN is only displayed after the ASIN is added to the customer's shopping cart; the child ASIN product name does not appear on the product detail page.
📢 Tips:
When setting the title, you also need to check whether the title on Seller Central is the same as the title on the consumer side. If different, modify the title to make the title on both ends the same.
◆ The yellow area is the title displayed on the consumer side.
◆ The blue area provides the title for you.
What to do with the “brand” name in the product title?Pay attention to where you fill in the brand name!
Q1 What should I do if my product doesn't have a brand name?
If you don't have a brand name, you don't need to mention the brand name in the title. In this case, just type the word “generic” when you fill out the brand name field in the properties.
Q2 If my brand name contains prohibited characters, such as!, {or}, what should I do?
Ensure that your brand name is entered in the brand name field. If that field contains a special character, that character will be exempt from title requirements. Amazon's goal is not to include in the product title such as! Characters such as, {, or}, but these characters may appear in the brand's first line displayed on detail pages and search results.
Q3 Can words included in the brand name be repeated more than once?
The brand name cannot be used more than twice. If part of the brand name appears in the title in different context, then it is not considered duplicate. For example, in "Old Navy and Navy Blue," the word “Navy” is not considered a duplicate.
What should I do if the product title violates regulations?! Check the title status in a timely manner and grasp the modification path
Q1 How do I know if my product title is prohibited from being displayed?
Go to Manage Inventory and click Prohibited and Unavailable Products in search results to see the products your product title is prohibited from appearing.
Q2 How can I unlock product titles that are prohibited from being displayed?
Go to Manage Inventory and edit the product title to comply with Amazon policies. Amazon will check whether the edited product title meets the requirements, and if so, the display ban will automatically be removed.
Q3 How do I know if my product title is not compliant?
You can view any product names that violate policy requirements directly in Manage All Inventory. Additionally, intellectual property owners can also view these product titles in View Product Information Updates.
Q4 How do I edit Amazon's suggested product titles?
You can edit the product title by going to Manage Inventory and provide a product title that meets the requirements.
Q5 If Amazon automatically modifies non-compliant titles, will I lose control of the product title?
Amazon's actions to modify the title using generative AI alone will not affect your original control over the title.
Q5 There is a product Asin: xxxxxxxx Due to the new product title regulations, the system changed the title. Can we modify the title after the system change?
If you don't update the title after 14 days, Amazon will automatically post title recommendations from AI to ensure that the product is not suppressed by search. If you don't like the modifications from AI, you can manually revise it back to a compliant title. In some cases, Amazon finds that after Amazon AI has modified the title, control will remain with the Amazon team for a short time. If you are unsuccessful in changing the title yourself, you can contact the seller support team to investigate further for you.
